The Prince Raden Saleh Palace, Cikini

Prince Raden Saleh Palace, Cikini, is located in the street bearing his name and once also encompassed a prayer house built in 1860 and a zoo.

Upon moving to Bogor, Prince Raden Saleh sold the palace as well as his land to Sayid Abdul Bin Alwi Alatas, the owner of the Textile Museum in Jatipetamburan, Jakarta.

After that, the house and land were supposed to be sold to Koningen Emma Ziekerhuis (Dutch Queen Emma Foundation) for 100.000 gulden. When he learned that a hospital was going to be installed therein, Abdul Alatas generously cut the selling price in half to 50.000 gulden.

With Indonesia's independence, the foundation handed over the premises to RS DGI Cikini.
